Hello! My name is Luca, I am Brazilian born and NY raised (Go Bills!)
I moved to North Carolina a little bit before Hurricane Helene and I’ve worked for Federal and State programs to help patch our community back together. I connected well with the locals at soccer pickup and it inspired me to volunteer, and ultimately work for programs rebuilding our community.
For 5 years I lived in Athens, Ohio and was a big part of their soccer community. I even have two players from that league on the team I captain here! I coached the men’s club team on an interim basis at Ohio University, coordinated pickups, and volunteered my time helping the league there.
My goal is to make everyone feel more connected outside of the league and to help newcomers feel welcome. I hope to help captains and teams with organization and to help create growth, strong competition, and fun for more recreation leagues.
